In School Program Ages 17 to 21

We offer young people who are currently in high school an opportunity to learn about career awareness, work experience and job shadow experience to achieve academic and employment success as they transition into adulthood, while earning an hourly wage.  Any young person who wishes to see if they qualify for the program can call the Youth Department at 847- 377-3447.

Out of School Program Ages 19 to 21

We also offer young people who did not complete high school an opportunity to complete their GED and get some occupational skills/employment training while earning an hourly wage. If young people have their GED or high school diploma, they may want to enroll in the skills/employment piece of the program. If a young person wishes to see if they qualify for assistance in this age group call the Youth Department at 847-377-3447.

  Summer Employment Program

The Summer Youth Employment Program provides youth ages 14-15 with work experience that will allow youth to be productive while out of school during the summer months. Youth up to 21 years of age may qualify if they have a disability under federal guidelines. A participant may be involved in summer employment for approximately 6-8 weeks working part time or full time. Youth will earn an hourly wage if accepted into the program.  The Summer youth employment hotline opens on February 1st, if you wish to apply please call 847-377-3443.
