Several IDES Veteran's representatives are available at the Job Centers and throughout Lake County. They maintain regular contact with local employers and labor unions and are responsible for the development of job and job training opportunities for Special Disabled, Disabled, Vietnam Era and other Veterans Eligible Persons. They conduct outreach to local Veteran's organizations, the U.S. and Illinois Department of Veteran Affairs offices and community based agencies on behalf of Veterans. They also provide job placement and vocational guidance assistance to Veterans who request their help.

Veteran's representatives are available by appointment every day from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Grayslake Job Center. They can be reached at 847-543-7480 or 847-543-7481.

Additionally, a Veteran’s representative is available at the Waukegan Job Center on Mondays from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The representative can be reached at 847-377-3469.
