Fidelity Bonding is a
business insurance policy that protects the employer in case of
any loss of money or property due to employee dishonesty.
Bonding is free of charge for the first six months
valued at $5,000 to Employers & applicants/employees.
After six months Employers can request to be bonded
with a bonding insurance company recommended by the Illinois Dept.
of Employment Security.
To receive bonding free of charge, the applicant's/employee's
start date and Employer's, as well as Employee's, complete information
can be processed via phone at the Illinois Department of Employment
Security (IDES) regional office at 312-793-6811 or locally at 847-543-7400.
