Status of WIA program
Due to a high volume of traffic, WIA funding
(Workforce Investment Act) for the Lake County
area is currently limited. Jobseekers who are
interested in WIA funding are welcome to attend
an information session. There is a significant
waiting list for new applicants. Take
advantage of our additional resources for
jobseekers including workshops, resume
preparation sessions, and onsite recruitment.

Filing for Unemployment Insurance
IDES staff members will be at the Waukegan Job
Center on Tuesdays and Wednesdays only to help
you file for unemployment insurance. At the
Grayslake Job Center, IDES staff members are
available Monday through Friday. Please call
847-543-7400 with unemployment questions.
